A local studio for local memories.
Anne Arundel Archive Co. is a one-studio operation in Severna Park. We clean, scan, and restore old photographs, film, slides, negatives, and tape — by hand, on our own equipment, and never further than the county line.
Most digitizing services are mail-in warehouses. You seal irreplaceable originals in a box, ship them across the country, and hope they come back. We started this studio because the families around us wanted the opposite: their memories handled locally, by a person they could actually reach.
So that's how it runs. The same person who logs your box on the day it arrives is the one who cleans each piece, scans it, checks it frame by frame, and hands it back. Nothing is subcontracted, and nothing leaves Anne Arundel County.
We treat every collection — a single shoebox or a hundred-year-old portrait archive — as if it were our own family's. It's photographed on arrival, stored in archival sleeves while it's here, insured the whole time, and returned exactly as it came.
The promises that never bend.
Nothing leaves the county
Your originals stay in Severna Park from drop-off to pickup. They are never packed into a truck and shipped to a warehouse in another state.
Digitized in-house
Every scan happens on our own equipment, by the same person who logged it in. No third-party subcontractors ever touch your collection.
A name, not a queue
You work directly with the archivist handling your project — by email, by phone, or across the counter. Questions get a real answer.
Local turnaround
Most orders are ready in 5–10 business days, with 48-hour rush available. Drop-off and pickup are arranged around the Baltimore–Washington corridor.
Memory work for the whole county.
Families & estates
Shoeboxes, albums, and a lifetime of loose prints — organized and backed up so the next generation actually has them.
Funeral homes
Portrait collections and memorial slideshows handled with care and turned around on a timeline that respects the family's.
Senior living communities
On-site pickup and resident memory projects that bring residents' histories back into the room.
Historical societies
Fragile documents, glass plates, and archival collections digitized to preservation standards, never shipped out of county.
Bring us the box. We'll handle the rest.
Tell us roughly what you have — a drawer of slides, a stack of VHS, a whole estate — and we'll send back a clear, itemized quote. Nothing ever leaves the county.
